The Children's Bookshow in Bristol
As part of their mission to promote literacy in schools and inspire a lifelong love of reading in children, arts charity The Children’s Bookshow is bringing award-winning author-illustrator Viviane Schwarz to the Old Vic Theatre and into Bristol schools this November.
On 13th November There are No Cats in This Book creator Viviane Schwarz will perform at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre to an audience of 500 local school children, aged 6-8, and their teachers. Viviane will be introducing her latest book How to be on the Moon, in a fun-filled interactive event, featuring reading, live drawing and audience participation! How to be on the Moon, the sequel to the bestselling How to Find Gold, was released to coincide with the 50th Anniversary of the moon landings and sees best friends Anna and Crocodile back together again for another intrepid adventure – this time, to the moon! Since 2003, The Children’s Bookshow has given away approximately 10,000 free books to UK children, providing kids from all backgrounds with access to high quality children’s literature. The charity has organised over 700 free workshops in schools and have reached more than 90,000 school children with performances from the best authors and illustrators from around the world.
